I'd be digging on the dirt on my knees in a garden, somewhere. I always meant to do more than grow things in pots in Olympia, but getting the clinic going was more than enough for me to handle. All's the same now, I guess, given my clinic is not only frozen in time but likely crumbled to dust.
[It was already a little crumbly on the outside before the dragon. Cheap real estate.]
I wonder how the Natha will manage it without compromising themselves. Or if they'll take the hit - I don't think they have an infinite power source, whatever it is.
Towards the end, reality tore open. It looked like Ysverai was calling down the Storm we're hiding from. So I'd say that's the worst possibility, being completely erased and eaten by infinity. Just below that is the Natha being unable to fix the planet and all of us eventually dying up here either from lack of supplies, the station breaking down, or whatever threat the Natha have been attacked by showing up.
I don't know about you, but being erased sounds better than dying up here. We're going to have a very big problem if supplies become an issue, but so far so good.
And if the planet is stabilized, and we return, Darma said the cat's out of the bag. We're going to have to deal with the fallout from the natives - some of which worshiped the 'moon' and saw us as divine, some of which hated us already.

I'm okay as one can be. I wasn't meant for a place like this, that's for sure.

Stir crazy?

A bit. I like seeing the sky and the soil. Up here just feels very cold.

It's kid of egotistical, being out here, huh? Ah, the exposure will kill us instantly, but we're gonna build metal contraptions and go anyway.

Don't forget the convenient rooms that can make you feel as if you're not in, essentially, a very large tin can.
no subject
I dunno, I kinda like the whole feeling. Anything is possible.

[Of course not, and she knows tone through text can be difficult, but luckily she's been taught by the greats.]
😊
[She does like her emoji.]
If you could be anywhere in any world, it'd be somewhere like this?

😇
Sort of. I'd be on my ship, not stuck somewhere. How about you?

Nah, it'll be there. Or you'll get some strapping young lads to rebuild a couple walls.
no subject
I never have a shortage of strapping young lads. Funny, that.
no subject
See, I'm right.

A lady's got to keep the muscle around for these sorts of things. Riots, dragons... we've yet to have natural disasters, unless the dragon counts.
no subject
Definitely an unnatural disaster, that one.
no subject
Do you think we'll be able to return to Wyver and Olympia eventually?
no subject
Yeah. I've always figured the Natha weren't interacting with time in a linear way, and hey, look. Mostly I'm just worried for the natives.
no subject
They do get the short end of the stick in this one. The only way we can help them is getting rid of that monster.
