[ It's certainly a low point for both cities and the refugee population. It's like the epidemic that affected so many — Eggsy knows that he needs to be stronger this time. ]
according to the brief, some kind of internal extremist group seems like we'll be dealing with more magic and biological warfare
[ He... hates magic... sometimes... ]
don't know if anyone filled you in on when there was a disease spread by a bombing in olympia in the fall not sure if it's connected, but i reckon the institute's more than a little bit compromised given how often they're linked to toxic shit
[ there's also the aggressive haze in the air during the riots, which isn't far from the experiments found during his off-the-books investigation of the institute. ]
who knows if anything like that will reach you in wyver, let alone the coast but watch what you breath in, mate
[ Jim sort of assumes yes because Peggy seems like the type to know everyone halfway competent........ ]
It's a fair head's up, thanks. I know the disease showed up in Wyver eventually, and I know whatever gas/mist in Olympia recently prompted the same behavior out of anyone who breathed it in as the behavior exhibited by people in Wyver who ingested dragon's blood handed out by the shamans. Who are all deeply bad news, by the way. All signs point to an overarching catalyst.
i'm lucky she's on my op team peggy's one of the best damn people around
[ so of course she knows Jim, too. ]
i'd heard a little about wyver, but those details make for a convincing argument for cross-faction trouble our fearless leaders definitely fucked at some point fyi so it's possible the administrations are in intimate contact even with the hostility between their peoples
[ he's js!! the factions have had some "political" relations... with refugees as the most prominent targets, he won't rule out that olympia and wyver have a shared interest in putting them in place. ]
watching them chat when wyver opened its gates to olympia was like some reality tv shit and there are other people who can cross the borders unnoticed
If it's not cooperation in secret, someone's playing both sides to their own ends; I can't shake the feeling of 'control groups'.
& Wouldn't it be nice if they could pull their heads out of their asses and advocate for peace full-force, in that case. Jesus.
I've managed a back and forth a couple times and I barely know the area, so I imagine anybody even passably native could do it easy. Is this normally circumvented when the transporters are working?
[ 'Fence hopping', he's been calling it, like it ain't no thing. He finally picked up it's not smart, so he's eased off. For now. ]
